Despite interest in science and mathematics in school, a lifelong passion for writing led to my finishing my college career with an English degree. In 2022, I joined with two fellow writers in creating a small publishing imprint, Lower Decks Press. So far, we’ve edited and released two anthologies of short science fiction—Into the Unknown and Beyond Human—as well as many issues of the digital magazine Signals.

Technical writing

Working in web and software development has provided me many opportunities to try my hand at technical writing. In recent years, I’ve written detailed testing procedures, API documentation, developer docs and release notes. The following sample documents were created as a way of further developing my technical writing skills.
