My editorial experience includes copy editing in a professional setting, maintaining the quality of books and magazines as a managing editor for Lower Decks Press, and providing everything from developmental edits to proofreading in a freelance capacity.

I have experience in providing editing services at a variety of levels:

• Proofreading: a quick scan for typos, missing words and formatting errors
• Copy editing: correcting errors in grammar and syntax, punctuation, fact-checking
• Line editing: a sentence-by-sentence examination of style, word choice, sentence structure, transitions, voice
• Structural editing: reading for overall structure, pacing, tone
